Front Office Supervisor
Position Overview: Responsible for ensuring courteous and efficient client service at the hospital, including phone management, payment processing, and receptionist supervision. Also, serves as a receptionist when needed.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise receptionists, including hiring, evaluating, and enforcing policies.
- Schedule receptionists as per staffing needs and provide backup when necessary.
- Address client complaints, escalating issues to the Hospital Manager.
- Manage specialist scheduling and handle financial transactions.
- Process refunds, returns, credits, and payment plans.
- Generate billing statements, assist with collections, and prepare end-of-month reports.
- Serve as a backup to the Hospital Manager for building maintenance.
- Perform other assigned tasks by the Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and protocols.
- Proficient in teamwork and customer service.
- Strong multitasking and organization skills.
- Experience with multi-line telephone systems.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
- Supervisory and staff scheduling abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and accounting.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
